Everyone here at Scroggins Aviation would like to thank the producers for giving us the opportunity to work on Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Scroggins Aviation built Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures the modified C-17 Globemaster III cockpit and supplied the aircraft wreckage in the film. Our company also provided an Aviation Technical Advisor for the film.
Scroggins cut the cockpit from a retired scrapped Douglas DC-10, N1813U, serial number 46612 airframe and stripped it down to a bare shell. A number of parts were fabricated to give the Production Designer and Producers the look they wanted for the film. Some of the key points they wanted were a modified C-17 cockpit layout and a take-off vertical controller. See below images of the cockpit.
Spider-Man: Homecoming was released on July 7, 2017.
